CROSS COUNTRY / TRACK AND FIELD
Hope College runner Chelsea Miskelley has been chosen for the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Team in NCAA Division III Women’s Track & Field / Cross Country for the 2019-20 school year.
The recent graduate advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America vote done by CoSIDA members. Academic All-America honorees will be announced from June 22-25.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA – and across eight geographic districts within each division. Hope’s district includes Division III schools located in Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Miskelley is from Holland, Michigan (Black River HS). She pursued a double major of biochemistry and molecular biology while competing in both track and field and cross country. She had a 3.97 grade point average.
A decorated athlete, Miskelley earned all-region honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for indoor track and field in the distance medley relay this season. She helped the Flying Dutch claim their second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Championships in three years in February.
