LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Hunting and fishing in Michigan might cost people more money soon.
The Department of Natural Resources is asking lawmakers to be allowed to charge more for hunting, fishing, and boating license fees.
Spokesman Ed Golder says they have not raised hunting and fishing license fees for a decade, and boat registrations have not increased in 32 years.
He says they want to raise license fees by 33-percent for a combined hunting and fishing license, and 35-percent for hunting.
