HOLLAND, MI (927 WHTC, Nov. 5, 2026) – There are 19 artists still vying for honors in the annual Tulip Time Festival First Bloem Artwork Competition.
Among 113 works submitted by 58 artists, juror Joel Schoon-Tanis whittled down the list to 20 finalists for having their creation be used as the official promotional image for the 98th renewal of Holland’s annual signature event. Heather Persch has two entries for consideration, while past winners Carolyn Stich, seeking her third award, and Maggie Schultz, are also among the finalists.
Festival officials will determine the winner, which should be announced in February, and the work will be adorning posters and other merchandise. The other 19 finalists will be put forward in a “viewer’s choice” competition, to be selected by visitors to the Tulip Time Festival, which runs from April 30th through May 9th.
More on the finalists for the First Bloem Festival Artwork Competition should be made available through the festival’s website.
