Tickets are on sale for this weekend’s MIAA Women’s and Men’s Basketball Tournaments.
They can be purchased in advance through the MIAA website or at the door beginning one hour before tipoff.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for MIAA faculty, MIAA staff and non-MIAA students. MIAA students and children under five get in free.
On Tuesday, Feb. 20, the third-seeded Hope College men’s basketball team will host sixth-seeded Albion College in the MIAA quarterfinals at DeVos Fieldhouse. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
On Friday, Feb. 23, the top-seeded Flying Dutch will host the MIAA Women’s Basketball Tournament semifinals at DeVos Fieldhouse.
The 5:30 p.m. semifinal features second-seeded Calvin University against either third-seeded Trine University or sixth-seeded The University of Olivet.
The 7:30 p.m. semifinal pits Hope against either fourth-seeded Albion College or fifth-seeded Alma College.
Friday’s winners advance to the championship game on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse. The MIAA Tournament champion receives the league’s automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Division III Championships.
In men’s basketball, the Hope-Albion winner moves on to championships weekend on Feb. 23-24 at top-seeded Trine University.
The Hope-Albion winner will advance to face second-seeded Calvin University on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Calvin shared the regular-season title with Trine and split the regular-season series with the Thunder, but Trine won the tiebreaker for the top seed because it went 2-0 against Hope this season while Calvin went 1-1 against the Flying Dutchmen.
Trine faces either fourth-seeded Alma College or fifth-seeded Adrian College on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
