(Reuters) – A Russian missile attack on Ukraine’s city of Dnipro on Thursday killed at least one person and injured five others, damaging a civilian warehouse, officials said.
The attack sparked a massive fire, regional governor Serhiy Lysak said on the Telegram messenger app.
An image published by regional prosecutors showed a building with collapsed walls covered in smoke and flames. Local channels posted videos of heavy black smoke rising into the sky. Reuters could not immediately verify the images.
Dnipro mayor, Borys Filatov, said the missile hit a storage facility for diapers.
A Russian drone also wounded 13 people and damaged a residential building in the town of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to Lysak.
Kryvyi Rih, another city in the region, was in mourning following Friday’s Russian missile strike that killed nine children and 11 adults.
